An intro to Vickery…
This is a video Christ City Church made back in 2016 to serve as an introduction to Vickery Meadow for its members. Its a little dated and not created with a broader audience in mind (much less VHOP), but we’re showing it here because it is nevertheless a solid intro to Vickery.
What is an Unreached People Group?
According to the Joshua Project, “An unreached or least-reached people is a people group among which there is no indigenous community of believing Christians with adequate numbers and resources to evangelize this people group without outside assistance.” To meet this definition, an individual ethnolinguistic people group would have to have “less than or equal to 5% Christian Adherent AND less than or equal to 2% Evangelical.”
What’s so important about Vickery Meadow?
To bring it all together, Vickery Meadow has one of the highest concentrations, if not the highest concentration, of Unreached People Groups in the entire world. God has literally brought the Nations to our backyard and THEY ARE PRECIOUS TO HIM. This little neighborhood represents one of the fiercest spiritual battlegrounds on the planet and has the potential to be the starting point of one of the greatest spiritual awakenings in history…
